The 256655 is an ideal tool for network installers and trouble shooters working on small LAN’s, and is ideal for testing Switches and NIC cards.

• At the push of a button LED displays determines whether or not the network you are testing supports:
- Auto negotiation
- 100/10Base TX full/half duplex
- 100Base T4
• The unit acts as a network device working with other LAN devices to determine faults. It will provide the following information:
- Link is up
- Device is transmitting a packet
- Device it working at full or half duplex
- Device is working in 100Base TX, 10BaseT or 100BaseT4
- Whether a data transmission error has occurred
• IEEE 802.3 compliant
• Auto power off
